Department of Education - Corporate

Strategic Procurement Outlook

The NSW Department of Education (the department) provides quality education from early childhood. It incorporates agencies, facilities and programs that support and promote the interests of children and the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

The department encompasses over 2,200 school sites which are supported by a number of state offices.

The department conducts its procurement activities in accordance with the NSW Procurement Board Policy Framework. It is committed to ensuring value for money and focused on socially responsible practices when procuring goods, services and facilities to deliver education services to the people of New South Wales.

In 2020-21, the continued development and evolution of category management plans will enable opportunities for early industry engagement and a longer-term outlook to procurement plans.

The department publishes its open approaches to market and planned procurement activity on the NSW eTendering site.

This Strategic Procurement Outlook Statement encompasses all the department’s cluster agencies and entities, a list of which is available at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/doe/
