NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
Strategic Procurement Outlook
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is an independent statutory authority reporting to an independent Board and the NSW Minister for Education.
Making sure all children and young people in NSW leave school ready to take advantage of life’s opportunities, as well as to rise to its inevitable challenges, is at the heart of what NESA does.
This is achieved by supporting the school sectors to deliver the best possible outcomes for students through high-quality syllabuses, assessment, teaching standards and school environments.
Key objectives for NESA for 2020-21 are to deliver the NSW Curriculum Review; develop strategies to support the Premier’s Priority of ‘Government made Easy’ and to deliver the Higher School Certificate.
NESA conducts its procurement activities in accordance with the NSW Procurement Board Policy Framework. It is committed to ensuring value for money and focused on socially responsible practices when procuring goods, services and facilities to deliver education services to the people of New South Wales.
NESA publishes its open approaches to market and planned procurement activity on the NSW eTendering site.
