Tender Details

NSW Government invites responses to this Request for Proposal for services to supply and install household solar and battery systems for the Empowering Homes pilot. Based on the responses to this RFP, the Department will create a shortlist of suppliers.

Applications will be evaluated on their demonstrated capability, specifically the ability to ensure and provide excellent customer engagement and protections, quality assurance for workplace health and safety, installation quality and optimal system performance of Solar Battery Systems, ability to ensure installer performance and availability, a local presence and engagement in regional areas and innovative value-add propositions.

RFT Type

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.

Additional Details / Instructions

Please be aware, the Department’s end of year closedown period is from 25 December 2020 to 8 January 2021. Inquiries can be submitted during this closedown period, but responses will not be provided until on or after 11 January 2021.
