Originally constructed in the 1930s, the foreshore structures at Nielsen Park (Shark Beach) were subject to widespread storm damage following adverse weather conditions in early June 2016. Engineering and Quantity Surveying consultancies inspected the structure following the storm events, recommending the complete demolition and rebuild of the existing structure as the most cost-effective and practical option.
