Tender Details

Transport for NSW is seeking tenders to operate:

  • fast ferry services between Manly and the city, and
  • ferry services along the Lane Cove River.

Tenderers are required to be genuine public transport operators who have the capacity to enter into a contract with TfNSW.

 

Operators will be required to transition to zero or low emissions technology during the course of the contract, and to encourage suitable proposals TINSW is offering a contract of up to 15 years, dependent on continued satisfactory performance.

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Tenderers will normally be required to demonstrate in their tender that they have the necessary skills, resources, experience, financial capacity, and in some cases licences, accreditations, etc., to fulfil the tender requirements.

Additional Details / Instructions

There will be a briefing for registered tenderers on 3 December 2021. Invitations will be sent to those parties who have registered before that date. Attendance at the briefing is not compulsory.

Proponents are required to register by completing the attached confidentiality deed poll and sending by email to: ferries@transport.nsw.gov.au

The email must include the following Documents to be accessed through the Tender website: 

1. Tenderer Registration Form

2. Confidentiality Deed Poll

TfNSW will send an email to registered persons providing on-line access to the tender documents as soon as correctly completed forms are received and verified as part of this process.

All individuals on the Tenderer Registration form will be issued with an invitation to the Tender Briefing on 3 December 2021.

TNSW is offering up to two interactive sessions with each Tenderer where ideas and issues can be confidentially discussed with a view to improving the quality of the Tenders submitted. Sessions will be held mid-December 2021 and Mid-January 2022. Process for registration is set out in the tender documents.

Tenders will close on 28 January 2022 12:00 Noon with a view to commencement of the services on 1 July 2022
