Tender Details

Infrastructure NSW (INSW) intends to commence a two-stage procurement process for a design development, documentation and construction contract for the Powerhouse Parramatta Project (the Project).

 

The Powerhouse Parramatta Project scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • construction of the new Powerhouse, including public presentation spaces, front- and back-of-house spaces, education and community spaces, co-working and staff office spaces, residences and retail spaces;
  • maintenance of the existing vehicular access easement via Dirrabarri Lane to adjoining neighbours;
  • construction of new vehicular access point to Wilde Avenue for loading;
  • removal of Oyster Lane and termination of George Khattar Lane;
  • landscaping and associated site works;
  • public domain within the site; and
  • building identification signage.

 

The purpose of this Call for Expression of Interest is to:

  • invite suitably qualified entities to submit Expressions of Interest to undertake the Project, so that INSW can select a shortlist to whom it intends to issue the Request for Tender;
  • provide details of the evaluation criteria and the process that will be used in selecting the shortlisted tenderers;
  • provide details of the procurement process for the project; and
  • provide information about the project, including the scope and commercial framework for the Project.

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria, and those who best meet the required criteria are invited to Tender (as tender type Pre-Qualified/Invited).

Conditions for Participation

To be considered for shortlisting to RFT, Respondents must demonstrate that they meet Minimum Requirements criteria in relation to turnover and past experience of delivering projects, including:

 

1.1  Annual Turnover of $500 million (Last 3 Years)

The Respondent must demonstrate that they have had a turnover of at least $500m for each of the last three financial years;

 

1.2 Detailed Design and Construction of a Cultural Facility, Performance Venues or Exhibition Spaces greater than $100m in the last 5 years

The Respondent must demonstrate that they have delivered a detailed design and construction project of at least $100m for a high specification art or cultural institution venue such as a museum, major event space, conference centre or event venue in the last five years; and

 

1.3 Working with an International Architect (Last 5 years)

The Respondent must demonstrate that they have successfully delivered a project as the Principal Contractor that included the involvement of an International architect in the last 5 years.
