Sydney Water is considering issuing a tender for the provision of Fleet Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Management Services.
Novated leasing is not part of the scope of this tender.
Sydney Water provides water and wastewater services to customers located in its area of operations covering Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra. Sydney Water performs a range of maintenance and upgrading activities on its water and sewer infrastructure assets.
Sydney Water seeks relationships with suppliers that recognise and constantly drive to deliver quality goods and services at the optimal price.
An open market request for tenders (RFT) will be issued by Sydney Water in the next two weeks.
Our objective is to appoint a Fleet Management Organisation (FMO) to provide fleet vehicle leasing and fleet management services to Sydney Water’s existing vehicle and Major Plant & Equipment (MPE) fleet.

To be considered to be included as a tenderer, you must provide evidence of meeting the criteria below in writing to the contact person indicated on this listing before the nominated closing date. Late submissions cannot be considered to proceed.
• Financial capability: Profitability / Revenue based
• At least 20 years’ continuous experience in fleet management and leasing in Australia
• At least 10 years’ experience in managing and leasing at least two fleets of 1,000 vehicles and assets or more continuously, for the past two years.
• At least 20,000 vehicles under management and lease for at least the previous two years.
• Demonstrable continuous improvement of products, service offerings and innovation.
• Compliance with requests to deliver a leasing product with no residual risk.
• Compliance with request to deliver core fleet management services as an outsourced and appropriately resourced solution.
• Online fleet management system capability including pool vehicle and GPS telematics components with support technology.
• Compliance to meet Sydney Water’s insurance standards:
• Public Liability: Limit of liability not less than A$20 million each and every occurrence.
• Products Liability: Limit of liability not less than A$20 million each and every occurrence and in the annual aggregate.
• Motor Vehicle Third Party: Limit of liability not less than A$30 million each and every vehicle, each and every event.
• Worker’s Compensation: As required by law.
Successful responses of these questions will initiate the formal process using the Ariba system. You must be able to complete a registration process in Ariba once you have been advised by the contact.
Please provide the required evidence to meet the minimum criteria plus complete the attached Excel form for Ariba registration via e-mail (even if you are an existing Ariba user, you must still complete the registration process to access the Sydney Water realm).
