Tender Details
Tenders are sought from suitably qualified Organisations having the experience and resources to:
1. Undertake a literature review of national and international cancer care accreditation standards. This review will build on previous work in cancer accreditation including the Clinical Services Framework, the Victorian Health Patient Management Frameworks, Cancer Institute NSW Accreditation workshop, and the CAN/NBCC accreditation document.
2. Review standards currently applied in NSW Health and Area Health Services, including dashboard indicators and likely indicators for the NSW Health Plan, in addition to the available cancer indicators as specified by the Cancer Institute NSW.
3. Undertake consultations with key cancer organisations, accreditation organisations, cancer service providers, consumers and key national cancer and accreditation personnel;
4. Develop a concise set of accreditation standards built on the literature review and the above consultation; and
5. Develop a plan to enable integration of a concise set of standards into public and private cancer services across NSW.
