Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / Taronga and Western Plains Zoo Print Media Partner - GRF/7/3

The Zoological Parks Board of New South Wales (ZPB) is a statutory authority that is owned by the people of New South Wales and is responsible for the operations of Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. Taronga Zoo, a harbourside icon for 90 years, is one of Australia's most popular attractions and together with the open range facilities of Western Plains Zoo attracts more than 1.5 million visitors annually and contributes an estimated $240 million into the economy. Renowned for their world class reputation in scientific research, captive breeding programs and endangered species recovery programs, both Zoos have set their goals for the future against a platform of Research, Breeding, Education and Recreation. In line with its goals, the Zoo is now seeking a strategic Print Media partnership to develop its promotions and advertising campaigns and a corporate partnership component.

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.

This is not an open Tender. The Zoological Parks Board has invited eligible organisations to submit a written Expression of Interest for the provision of Print Media services for both Taronga and Western Plains Zoos.

The eligible organisations are :
John Fairfax Publications Pty Limited; and
Nationwide News Pty Ltd.

Proposals from the above companies only will be accepted.
The Call for Proposals document will be sent out directly to selected organisations.
