Tender Details

The Employment and Retail Strategy will provide information to inform land use planning decisions for the North West and South West Growth Centres. In summary, the strategy will identify what jobs will be needed, what jobs are most likely to be attracted to the different growth centres, identify strategies for attracting a diverse range of jobs, identifying how the planning system can help provide these jobs, where these jobs will be located and what amount of land and floor space is needed over time to enable the employmetn opportunities to be created. Different types of employment land will generate a range in employment opportunities and employment numbers (for example warehousing and distribution). The Strategy will identify the potential economic function of the employment land and the most appropriate location for land uses of high economic signficance but relatively lower rates of employment.
