Tender Details
The AHO is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors with the ability, capability, capacity, and experience to deliver a Design & Construct (D&C) package consisting of a detached duplex development comprising of two (2), four (4) bedroom homes each with one (1) ensuite, one (1) bath and one (1) separate WC, including associated site works and undercover parking with a desired yield of two (2) carparks, landscape works to common areas and private open spaces on the vacant land at 46 Sixteenth Avenue, Sawtell NSW 2452. The works are to be completed by 30 April 2024.
The primary goal of the project is the delivery of new homes in an innovative and cost-effective way, focusing on the end to end construction process, design, materials, partnerships, community/tenant engagement and Aboriginal employment opportunities. This will ultimately setup the AHO for a more robust and efficient process for all future new builds.
The project scope of works (works) includes but are not limited to design, construction certificate / Crown Design Verification Certificate, construction detailing, site preparation and construction of the residential dwelling in accordance with the Principal’s Project Requirements, Principal’s authority approvals and other relevant documents.
Tenderers must demonstrate their commitment and capacity to create and extend opportunities for Aboriginal people and enterprises through the Contract, in accordance with the NSW Government Aboriginal Participation Policy and any additional requirements imposed by the AHO. The Tenderer is to include a minimum of 20% of time (hours) and 5% contract value spent on Aboriginal employment and training.
Tenders must be able to meet the Mandatory Criteria to be considered for evaluated under this procurement exercise, including:
- Certification under NSW Government Scheme SCM 1461 Construction Works over $1 million
- Hold a current Builder’s Licence
- Meet the Insurance requirements
- Compliance with NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code), the New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).
