Tender Details

The Power Supply Upgrade Program is designed to meet expected power requirements for Sydney's future rail network and new fleet of air conditioned trains. The program involves upgrades to substations, section huts, overhead wiring and feeders as well as the construction of new infrastructure across the network.

TfNSW is seeking Applicants from organisations that have the capability and capacity to undertake the work described in the Expression of Interest (EOI) documentation.

This EOI will result in a short-list for a second stage process to award the design and construction contract.

It is anticipated that the D&C documentation will be issued to short-listed Applicants late 2020.

Electronic Lodgement - no password protection. Questions must be submitted in writing to the email address supplied. Multiple separate document will not be accepted, unless prior approval is obtained from TfNSW. This ensures that submissions are complete and accurate, and presented in the manner intended by the Applicant, and also allows for timely distribution to the Tender Assessment Committee.

Conditions for Participation

The Applicants must demonstrate as a minimum, compliance with the following requirements:

Minimim Requirement 1 - The Applicant has demonstrated how the Applicant and its proposed team (including Applicant’s subcontractor/s) plan to meet the AEO matrix requirements (as contained in Annexure B of the EOI Invitation) including the information outlined ins EOI Schedule 2; and

Minimum Requirement 2The Applicant and/or Applicant’s subcontractor/s must be a registered organisation with, and its aerial line worker/s accredited by, Sydney Train and certified in current MEL56 Authorisation in accordance with Sydney Trains Engineering Register Electrical Certification Status to undertake the work on the high voltage aerial lines at the time of Contract award as specified in the EOI Schedule 2 format.
