Tender Details

FRNSW plans to employ suitable DC-to-DC battery chargers and stand-alone Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries to power such “Vehicle as a Node” telecommunications electronic devices, with power to the charger to be sourced from the vehicle’s alternator and/or from using solar power to charge the batteries, into most of its firefighting appliances and specialist firefighting and response vehicles.

Initially, approximately 730 DC-to-DC battery chargers and approximately 730 LiFePO4 batteries will be sourced for installation into firefighting appliances and specialist firefighting and response vehicles, with ongoing demand of up to around 20 chargers and/or batteries per annum over the next five years. These quantities are to be used as a guide only.
