Vivid Sydney, the largest festival of Light, Music and Ideas in the Southern Hemisphere and the largest event in Australia, is owned, managed and produced by Destination NSW, the NSW Governmnet’s tourism and major events agency.

Vivid Sydney has been integral in cementing Sydney’s position as the creative capital of the Asia-Pacific and, instrumental in driving visitation to Sydney. In 2022, Vivid Sydney attracted a record-breaking 2.58 million attendees.

Vivid Sydney features an outdoor ‘gallery’ of extraordinary lighting sculptures and 3D projections, a cutting-edge contemporary music program, and some of the world’s most important creative industry workshops and forums. Vivid Sydney delivers both innovative live entertainment and creative inspiration on a grand scale.

Vivid Sydney 2023 will take place from 26 May – 17 June, and will include four programs:

Vivid Light – transforms large parts of Sydney’s CBD with light sculptures and large-scale 3D architectural projections onto iconic buildings and landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Vivid Music – offers an extensive program of performance, multi-genre musical collaborations, and the best in contemporary and experimental music at venues across Sydney.

Vivid Ideas – offers creative ideas, public talks, industry seminars, conferences, workshops and debate and is a forum for the creative industries to collaborate, foster business connections and showcase new ideas.

Vivid Food – chefs, producers, restaurateurs and event companies the opportunity to create festival food events and activations that are creative, innovative and stimulate visitation to CBD restaurants and venues. Vivid Food events should actively promote the night-time economy and provide memorable and world-class experiences for our audiences.

Destination NSW is seeking an itemised quotation for the provision of the following services for Vivid Sydney 2023, 2024 and 2025 with an option to renew for Vivid Sydney 2026 and 2027.
