Tender Details
The proposed system will extract water from the Edward River through approximately 16km of pipeline (size to be determined) to eight(8) 22,500L poly tanks which will supply concrete troughs.
The system will be designed to deliver a maximum supply of water to a mob of 4,000DSE rotating between paddocks serviced by the scheme and a 10,000L/day domestic demand. The area to be watered by this scheme is approximately 8,680ha. It is also proposed to upgrade the existing power supply and provide solar energy to supplement power to the new pump installed on the river.
The survey work required to be undertaken must be sufficient to perform a detailed design. More detail can be found in the project RFQ documents.
Design an efficient pumped reticulation system, fit for purpose, using the survey information and in accordance with the design criteria and data provided. More detail can be found in the project RFQ documents.
The Review of Environmental Factors should include, but not limited to, the following:
The Review of Environmental Factors (REF) should provide a full assessment of the environmental impacts of the proposed pipeline construction, the installation of storage tanks and associated works. The REF is to be conducted in accordance with Part 5, Section 111 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, taking into account the requirements of Clause 228 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.
The REF should describe and advise DPI Water what approvals are required for the Project to proceed, noting the relevance of State Environmental Planning Policy Infrastructure 2007, identify the Determining Authority, and address the requirements of other relevant New South Wales and Commonwealth legislation including the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBCA).
The REF should include an analysis of the Project’s potential impact on Aboriginal Heritage sites in the landscape, with reference to the Office of Environment and Heritage publication “Due Diligence Code of Practice for the Protection of Aboriginal Objects in New South Wales” (OEH 2010).
The REF should inform the DPIW of situations where the location of the proposed project works (e.g. pipelines) may require additional work, including recommendations for deviations, such as re-routing or directional boring, etc.
The REF should include an assessment of the requirement for consultation with relevant Statutory Authorities and Stakeholders and its purpose.
