Expression of Interest :
P21-2983 - Upper Hunter HVFM 2021-22 Riparian Restoration, Re-vegetation, and Repair/Construction of Agricultural Fencing Service. The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) conducts maintenance activities throughout the Hunter Valley Flood Mitigation (HVFM) Scheme on behalf of the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) Water. The Scheme consists of both Lower Hunter and Upper Hunter programs. Whilst the Lower Hunter works include the management of levees, spillways, drains and floodgates, the Upper Hunter works include the maintenance of flood mitigation structures including erosion control works within the upper catchment. The riparian restoration including vegetation management as well as repairs or construction to agricultural fencing is an integral part of the Upper Hunter works program. It is proposed that an Expression of Interest (EOI) be conducted to establish a panel of suppliers that can be called upon for riparian restoration, vegetation management, weed control and repairs or construction of agricultural fencing works within the Upper Hunter program. The EOI will assess supplier capacity, capability, quality, and price. The EOI will request that suppliers tender a rate card with their response. SCS will request quotes based on the job site consistent with Departmental policy. As the capability has already been assessed, the quotes will be assessed on a site-by-site basis and based on price and availability/meeting timeframes. The panel arrangement will be an exclusive arrangement for the Area 15/ Upper Hunter HVFM Scheme Works Program.
