Tender Details
Goats on Mutawintji Lands compete with native animals for water, food and shelter. They are a major contributor to soil erosion and compaction and can have substantial impact on vegetation structure through overgrazing and on cultural heritage sites. They may also carry exotic diseases, especially footrot and ovine Johne’s disease.
Control of goat numbers by mustering is identified as a management action in the current Regional Pest Management Strategy and is a priority identified in the Plan of Management.
This RFT is to source contractors who will perform mustering activities in Muntawintji Lands. The contract will last 12 months and may be extended for a further 12 months if required.
