Tender Details

We are seeking expressions of interest from businesses interested in the fabrication and supply of sewer ventilation shafts. Sydney Water is issuing a tender for the fabrication, supply, and delivery of the following Ventilation Shaft Materials. 

1.Ventilation shaft tubes

2.All cowl types

3.Ventilation shaft supports

4.Guy wire sets including shackles, turnbuckles, swage eye & toggles

5.Wall & top brackets

6.Nuts & bolts

The scope of work includes the below items:

 

-Stainless Tubes (inspection doors & sleeve & other accessories)

-Cowls (wire, induct & educt cowl)

-T-Irons (3m, 6m and 9m lengths)

-Guy Wires 

-Base Frames

-Brackets & Bands (Top Bracket Set & Clip Band)

-Material Modifications 

 

The Goods supplied under the contract must comply with Sydney Water’s Vent Shaft Guidelines (please see attachment) and Technical Requirements and Deemed to Comply drawings provided by Sydney Water.

Interested suppliers must be prepared to:

1. Complete self-registration in Sydney Water's Ariba system and notify the party indicated in this advertisement of said registration

2. Submit a detailed write-up addressing their ability to satisfy the minimum criteria via e-mail to the party indicated on the advertisement.

 

The minimum criteria for the upcoming Supply of Ventilation Shaft Materials Tender is:

 

a)Approach to and management of Work Health and Safety (WHS) meeting SWC Accreditation

 

-Evidence of an effective safety system in place.

 

-Sydney Waters Safety prequalification assessment 

 

b)Demonstrated stability of financial performance and preparedness to disclose financial details to Sydney Water. 

 

c)Locally based operation to support the requirements of Sydney Water.

 

This RFT is for Shared Purchasing under the Partnering for Success (P4S) delivery model being established by Sydney Water. Under the P4S model there are three regional delivery consortia (RDC) to deliver design, construction and maintenance services respectively across the three geographical Regions (North, South and West) within Sydney Water’s area of operations. 

 

The successful tenderers will be required to succesfully complete prequalification and enter into contracts with Sydney Water and the three RDC for delivery of the scope over the term of the contract.

 

Tender activities are conducted using the Ariba system. Suppliers must agree to use the Ariba Network (basic account is free) via the “self-registration”. If you are an existing Ariba Network user, you are still required to register to access the Sydney Water ‘portal’. For compliance reasons, all tender documents will be shared in Ariba once you have been invited to participate in the tender. An NDA may need to be signed.Sydney Water operates pre-qualification processes and only invites successful participants through to participation in tender activities. To be considered for participation, you may have to complete a pre-qualification process prior to the commencement of a tender. There may be an additional requirement to utilise our third-party safety management system (Beakon) for certain onsite suppliers. The use of Beakon is a supplier funded model and the supplier/its employees will bear costs payable to the third party for this service.
