The Strategic Fishway Implementation Program (SFIP) project aims at rectifying impediments to fish migration posed by in river barriers (such as weirs, dams or barrages) and allowing native fish to complete their key life stages.
WaterNSW is seeking to create a few fishway options that can be applied across the state and on any current site that needs a fishway. Currently it was identified to implement fishways on around 28 different sites.
