In July 2018, WaterNSW embarked on an EOI process to seek market interest in utilising WaterNSW dam and land assets for renewable energy scheme with a focus on dispatchable form such as pumped hydro schemes. The next stage of the Renewable Energy and Storage Program is now about to commence. Stage 2, Phase 1 which will focus on attracting suitable market participants interested in developing renewable forms of energy schemes at/around Burrendong Dam and Windamere Dam. These sites were selected to capitalise on work done by the NSW Government in identifying energy hubs where there may be shortfalls in energy such as the Central West region of NSW.
The purpose of this Request for EOI is to provide information to support the development of suitable Procurement Opportunities and select suitably qualified and capable Respondents (who may be single entity organisations, incorporated joint venture partners or consortia) to be shortlisted to participate in the Request For Proposal (RFP) Process.
For the EOI Process, Respondents will be required to access the Scout RFP system via the link quoted. Respondents will be required to sign and return the Confidentiality Agreement. Once a signed Confidentiality Agreement is returned to the WaterNSW Contact Officer the supplier will then be added to the Scout RFP System and will be able to access the following information:
• the EOI;
• Information Documents;
• any requests for clarification and clarification responses issued in accordance with the EOI
• any Addenda that WaterNSW may issue from time to time
