Central Coast Council (Council) is proposing to undertake the refurbishment of an office and laboratory at the Somersby Water Treatment Plan (WTP) to comply with current building standards, and provide a safer and improved working environment for staff.
The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to:
1. Demolition works including asbestos removal
2. New ceilings and wall linings throughout area of works
3. New carpet in the office and vinyl floor finishes in the laboratory
4. New doors, glazing, windows and window frames to replace existing, including replacement of ground floor windows and roll down blinds
5. New benchtops and cabinetry in the laboratory
6. Design and installation of all Electrical services – lighting, telecommunications, power etc.
7. Design and installation of all Hydraulic services alterations and plumbing
8. Design and installation of new air conditioning system and removal and disposal of old system
9. Installation of fire safety devices including signage, lighting and new/existing fire smoke detectors
10. Office Fit-Out including provision of; work stations/partitions, table, desks, chairs, whiteboards, compactus and installation of TV monitors (supplied by the Principal)

This is lump sum contract based on AS2124-1992 General Conditions of Contract. The contract period for completion is 16 weeks from the Date of the Letter of Acceptance being issued.
The tendered lump sum must include all costs necessary to provide the works under the Contract, including without limitation the cost of all personnel, materials, plant and equipment, fuel, consumables, mobilisation, demobilisation, support systems, overheads, profit, travelling time, expenses, disbursements, fees and charges and all other associated costs.
The fee and rates are fixed and not subject to escalation or review
Council is seeking to use this Request for Tender as a basis for entering into a Contract with the Preferred Tenderer.
