Tender Details

This is an opportunity to register for a forthcoming opportunity.

Short-Term Emergency Placements (STEP) is a Department of Communities and Justice initiative to contract accredited residential care providers in a panel deed arrangement to deliver individualised residential emergency placements for children and young people in statutory out-of-home care with high and complex needs.

Short-Term Emergency Placements (STEP) model was designed to meet placement needs for children and young people in out-of-home care (OOHC) with high and complex needs who cannot be immediately supported in kinship/relative care, foster care, or other accredited residential care placement. STEP arrangements provide on-demand placements delivered in suitable accommodation in locations that can be established flexibly to meet the child or young person’s needs.
