NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Concept Design for the Renovation and Reuse of Hospital Road Court Building, Sydney - RFT144

Develop a concept design for additions and alterations to Hospital Road Courts to provide a cost-effective solution to accommodate present and future criminal jury court requirements in Sydney CBD. The design must make the best possible use of the existing high-value asset, with a focus on re-use or adaptation of its existing facilities.

The additions and alterations will allow for five courts and associated facilities reflecting the current AGD Court Design Guidelines. It will also allow for the upgrading of the building in accordance with BCAs as far as practically achievable. The Services include a cost report sufficient for budget planning.

Existing plans and some other relevant documentation is available on request.

The engagement requires at least one workshop involving all regular court users, and a number of smaller consultations with both Supreme Court and AGD Officers.
