The Department is seeking to establish a service for Aboriginal families, delivered by an ACCO where risk factors around child wellbeing and safety are present. This service will work intensively with Aboriginal families with the prime objective to keep children safe within their family, community, and culture; and to prevent entry into the child protection system.
This service will focus on family capacity building; working closely with families to identify goals, strengthen family functioning, and increase formal and informal networks through family-led planning and decision making.
