MBCP providers will deliver the group behaviour change programs that the provider is registered to deliver, and where appropriate individual support, to users of violence in intimate partner relationships.
Providers and their group behaviour change programs must be registered and comply with the NSW Government’s MBCP Practice Standards and Compliance Framework. The aim is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of victim survivors and their children, to reduce or prevent recurrence of abusive behaviour by a participant towards a partner or family member and to keep users of violence in view of an integrated service system response.
