Tender Details
Corrective Services NSW and Youth Justice NSW operates a fleet of specialised vehicles to transport offenders between correctional centres, court cell complexes and other approved locations. These vehicles are custom-designed and undergo a cyclic refurbishment program to maintain road-worthiness and ensure compliance with heavy vehicle regulations (modification and certification).
The RFx seeks to establish a prequalified list of suppliers based on their capacity and capability to either construct a new or refurbish an escort vehicle body or cell unit or both (construct and refurbish).
The Secure escort vehicle fleet consists of vans such as Hyundai Iloads, Mercedes Sprinters fitted with cell units as well as escort vehicle bodies mounted to light, and heavy cab chassis type vehicles to securely and safely transport offenders.
