Proposed Tender Details
This notice is issued to announce the intentions of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to undertake an open tender for Independent Assessors later this year.
Through this procurement process, DCJ is seeking to refresh the Panel of Independent Assessors.
Successful applicants will be included on the Panel of Independent Assessors and can be engaged by the Department to undertake a range of permanency assessments and assessment-related activities, in connection with permanency planning for children and young people in out-of-home care.

It is anticipated that the tender will be advertised through the NSW eTendering portal in April 2023.
New as well as existing providers can participate in the open tender.
Existing Independent Assessors on the Panel will need to participate in this tender if they wish to be considered for inclusion on the Panel after their current Independent Assessors' contract expires.
Aboriginal Independent Assessors are encouraged to apply through a separate targeted tender: Aboriginal Independent Assessors tender - DCJ2023001.
