Tender Details

The Department currently uses a lifecycle model to predict both the condition and maintenance liability at any given time for the more than 4 million individual components that make up its buildings and infrastructure. Deterioration rates depend on the useful life of the given component which in turn depends on material type, utilisation and geographic location.

This approach allows the Department to provide a state-wide view of the condition of assets and associated liability for planned maintenance to maintain those assets at an acceptable condition.

The lifecycle model currently involves the following 2 services:

  1. undertaking periodic condition assessments; and
  2. maintaining the life-cycle model used for projecting condition and maintenance liability.
The scope of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to understand market offerings for lifecycle model services related to the second aspect (item 2) above. Undertaking periodic condition assessments are not within the scope of this EOI and will be conducted by the Department directly.

RFT Type

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria, and those who best meet the required criteria are invited to Tender (as tender type Pre-Qualified/Invited).

The EOI is the first stage of a multi-stage procurement. The EOI will therefore not directly result in the award of a contract. Refer to clause 8.4 of the Conditions of Tendering.
