Tender Details
In 2021, the NSW Department of Education (DOE) established a panel of Online Learning Tools across the following key learning areas:
- Creative Arts
- English
- HSIE
- Languages
- Mathematics
- PDHPE
- Science
- TAS
- Stem
DOE is, in this RFT seeking to refresh the established panel to provide opportunity for new suppliers/products to apply for the panel.
The objectives of the panel are:
- value for money: provide schools with value for money high quality Online Learning Tools
- curriculum and syllabus alignment for key learning areas: provide schools with Online Learning Tools that are aligned with the curriculum and syllabus links across key learning areas
- efficiencies for DOE and vendors: reduce administration time and costs for DOE and its schools in choosing and implementing Online Learning Tools. Also, to reduce administration time and costs for vendors to fulfil orders and invoice DOE
- access to data: ensure that DOE has access to DOE data, data on learning progression of students and data on usage of the Online Learning Tools
- data protection and security: ensure DOE data is properly protected and subject to the DOE’s data security requirements; and
- legal and policy compliance: achieve compliance for DOE (including its schools) with obligations including under applicable Australian and New South Wales laws and NSW Government and DOE policies. It is also intended to encourage vendors to meet their obligations and achieve an increase in their security protection profiles.
Online Learning Tools are online learning digital tools such as programs, apps, or other technology that are wholly or partially provided over the Internet. They include functionality that:
- allows a student to access educational content, including exercises and games. The content may or may not have been created by the student’s teacher
- assists a teacher to present information to students
- is designed for students to create and/or share content in connection with their learning, or
- allows teachers to provide educational materials to students and communicate with students. It might include functionality that allows teachers to communicate with a student’s parents, guardians or caregivers.
