Additional Details / Instructions

Through this planned Request for Tender the Department is seeking a service provider to:

  1. Assist with the development, testing, evaluation and codification of a process/es that will embed the effective implementation of the general capabilities (excluding literacy and numeracy) into pedagogy and assessment practices within subject disciplines. It is anticipated this will include both development and testing of specific models and resources  within schools and understand how they could be scaled at a system level such that both content, and resourcing/development/delivery process are addressed.
  2. Conduct a meta-evaluation of the initiative which would include the development of insights into enabling conditions and barriers, at a system level, that impact upon ongoing improvement.  The expected outcome of this meta-evaluation will be NSW-centric learnings on how best to positively impact student learning outcomes, close equity gaps, build teacher capacity, effectively resource schools and scale rigorous support in a sustainable manner using the general capabilities as impetus.

The ideal team is expected to be multidisciplinary, however it would include academic experts in the field of education, with a proven understanding of current research on the implementation of skills/capabilities within curriculum. The team would also include talent with demonstrated expertise in research and responsive evaluation at both the model/resources and systems level.

It is anticipated this work will commence in September / October this year and be fully completed towards the end of 2022.

This proposed Request for Tender process will identify the single best value-for-money provider to undertake this work.

The full detail of the requirement including, conditions, response forms and draft agreement, will be available to download from Ariba, when the tender is released.
