Role of the Creative Producer is to engage with an array of communities, enhance patient, visitor and staff experience through artwork/s, wayfinding and integrated architectural features, encourage improvement in patient experience and access to care, and reflect on Liverpool’s history and people. The arts strategy for the redevelopment needs to consider healthcare staff and users, engages with local community and reflect on the cultural sensitivity of all user groups.

The Creative Producer will be responsible for the three key opportunities including:

  1. Primary Opportunity: Major public art commission in the vicinity of the main entry. The Creative Producer is responsible for the curatorial scope and facilitation of this art commission including developing the artistic brief, advising on the procurement pathway of artist/s and to prepare tender documentation for the procurement of the artist/s.

  2. Secondary Opportunities: Curatorial rationale for waiting rooms for semi-permanent and/or rotational displays. Additionally, curatorial rationale and facilitation of up to 3 designs to be applied throughout the project as permanent installations such as enviro-graphic wallpaper designs located in clinical and public areas. The Creative Producer is responsible for the curatorial rationale and facilitation of the two secondary opportunities including developing the artist brief, advising on the procurement pathway of artist/s and to prepare the tender documentation for the procurement. The Artist/s for this commission will be contracted to the Head Contractor or Health Infrastructure pending the final scope of the works.

  3. Tertiary Opportunities: Creative Producer required to define the curatorial rationale for digital screen-based artworks for display on the large main reception display screen, provide a high-level briefing paper of an artist-in-residence program to support clinical units at Liverpool Hospital, and provide a high-level briefing paper identifying other tertiary opportunities which could be provided by SWSLHD throughout the lift of the Hospital.
