The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) is leading the design and implementation of an duress alarm response system for the Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program and undertaking a procurement process to identify suitable non-government providers.
SHLV is a specialist domestic and family violence service for women and children who are leaving violence. The service supports women and children to live in a home of their choice while recovering from violence through the use of home security upgrades, and in high risk cases, the provision of duress alarms.
