Tender Details

The Department of Justice, through Victims Services is seeking Tenders from service provider(s) with the capacity and experience to deliver the Canine Court Companion Program in NSW Local Courts. The primary purpose of the Program is to reduce any stress and anxiety associated with the court experience by court users with the use of therapy dogs which are accompanied by volunteer handlers.

The Program requires therapy dogs and volunteer handlers to visit the publicly accessible areas of the court and interact with court users and court staff to help create non-threatening court environment for all court users including children, vulnerable witnesses and victims of domestic and family violence.

The current Services Agreement for the Program from 1 July 2018 – 30 June 2019 includes delivery of services at 11 NSW Local Courts located in varying regions of NSW. The specific locations of the 11 NSW Local Courts are: Manly, Campbelltown, Gosford, Sutherland, Burwood, Lismore, Taree, Nowra, Orange, Goulburn and Wagga Wagga.
