Hornsby Maintenance Centre General
Inspection Roads 1 to 3 consist of four high level platforms which terminate at
the end of Building 17. In between the Main Store Building No. 12
and the GI shed Building 17 is an open space partly covered by roofing.
The only access to the high level platforms
is through narrow stairways. This project is to construct a mezzanine
floor in the open space between Buildings 12 and 17 and connect to the high
level platforms so that additional access will be provided through the Store.
Existing stairway openings in the high level platforms will have floor infill
constructed and Platforms 3 and 4 will be extended to the mezzanine floor
constructed in the open space to make one whole floor.
