Tender Details

Registration of Interest (ROI) Applications are invited from pre-qualified contractors with Transport for NSW under the National Prequalification Scheme at Category R2 for Roadworks, B2 for Bridgeworks and F25 and above for Financial Capacity with appropriate capability (in-house or through sub-contractors) in Road Bridge and Drainage Design to carry out following scope of works for Traffic Safety Improvements - The Driftway, Londonderry.

The scope of works summarised below includes development of detailed design prior to proceeding with construction under the GC21 Ed 2 Rev 20 form of Contract.

•3.6 km road pavement and drainage improvements to The Driftway.

•Realignment of the eastern 0.4 km of The Driftway.

•A new four-way roundabout intersection with Blacktown Road and Racecourse Road including a 30m long retaining wall and shared path connections.

•A new roundabout at the intersection of The Driftway and Londonderry Road.

•Construction of a new bridge over Rickabys Creek.

•Providing access to properties along The Driftway to the new alignment.

•Relocation of utilities primarily at intersections.

•Seeking necessary approvals for the detailed design including certification for utilities design. 

The Project’s Review of Environmental Factors (REF) is currently on community display, with this phase expected to close in December 2021. It is noted that the Request For Tender (RFT) will not be awarded until after REF determination, expected in February 2022.

The successful applicant will be selected through a two phase procurement process. The first phase requires interested applicants to submit their ROI Application. Three applicants shortlisted from this ROI process will be invited to submit tenders for the works summarised above.  

A ROI briefing will be held online via MS Teams as advertised on the eTendering website. Attendance at this briefing is mandatory to submit an ROI Application. Interested ROI Applicants must confirm attendance by providing names of persons attending, email, contact number, company name and ABN with the Contact Officer at least two business days before the briefing.

All presentation material including clarifications during the briefing session will be distributed as an Addendum to all tenderers though the eTendering website.

Prospective applicants will need to complete, sign and return the confidentiality deed (in accordance with the instructions in that deed) prior to being given the passcode to access the ROI documents and prior to attending the ROI briefing.

All applicants must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code) and New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).

This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government.

The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to this project. This document is available at https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2019C00289. By submitting an ROI for this project, the Applicant(s) will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out.
