Tender Details
Tenders are invited for the routine, reactive and ordered maintenance of the Fire Systems at St. Helena Tunnel (SHT) and Tugun Bypass Tunnel (TUG) according to relevant Australian Standards (AS1851-2012), Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) Code of Maintenance Specifications (COMS) and TfNSW Specifications.
The St Helena Tunnels are twin tunnels near Byron Bay and were constructed as part of the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale Pacific Highway Upgrade Project. The tunnel was opened to traffic in December 2015.
The Tugun Bypass Tunnels are twin tunnels in Tweed Heads West under the Gold Coast Airport and were constructed as part of the Tugun Bypass. The tunnel was opened to traffic in June 2008.

A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled at 6.30pm on Monday 22 February 2021 at St. Helena Tunnel and at 8.30pm on Tuesday 23 February 2021 at Tugun Bypass Tunnel.
Tenderers must confirm their attendance for the site visit by COB Thursday 18 February 2021 by emailing jaswinder.kaur2@transport.nsw.gov.au with subject heading stating ‘site visit attendance confirmation – 21.0000302072.0135 - Routine and Reactive Maintenance of Fire Systems, St. Helena and Tugun Bypass Tunnels.’
