Tender Details
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the installation of new fencing and gates and the removal of existing fencing. This fencing is required as part of the preliminary works for the Newell Highway Upgrade - Parkes Bypass, in the town of Parkes NSW.
More specifically the work under this contract includes:
- Removal and disposal of nominated existing fencing.
- Clearing and disposal of waste in preparation for the construction of new fencing
- Construction of nominated new fencing
- Construction of new gateways at nominated locations
- Disposing of wastes in accordance with the respective Commonwealth, NSW, and Council guidelines and legislation to adequately licensed disposal/processing facilities.
A schedule of the fencing to be removed is provided in the tender documents. The total length to be removed is about 3,400 metres. The fencing to be removed will be identified in the field.
A schedule of the fencing to be constructed is also provided in the tender documents. There are three types of fencing to be constructed – details of these are provided in the drawings. The total length of new fencing to be constructed is about 12,000 metres. Survey marks will be provided for all new fencing.
The contract also includes the construction of 16 gates. The location of these gates are either as shown on the drawings or in G1.
The contract requires the contractor to provide all materials and labour.

By submitting an RFT for this project you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.
It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out.
