This is a Quality Assurance contract.
Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at Roadworks Class R40. In addition, the Contractor or any Sub-Contractor will require prequalification R20 for Road construction, B20 for Bridge construction, A2 for Asphalt pavement, K2 for Concrete paving and R1 for reinforced earth wall construction. The earthworks, drainage and formwork components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E, D and F respectively or pre-qualified for roadworks and or bridgeworks. The Primary Testing of the works (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L2.
This work involves general earthworks, drainage works, asphalt pavement, and other miscellaneous works as well as the construction of reinforced earth walls and a concrete overbridge.
Tenders must comply with the NSW Government's Code of Practice for Procurement.
Tender Documents Reg No. RTA.0009.325.RC.6044 may be purchased from https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/rta at a cost of $55.00 per set. Please note that documents will be supplied in electronic format on CD.
A Pre-Tender Meeting and site inspection will be held at Beresfield Bowling Club, Beresfield, on Thursday 6th July 2006 starting at 10:30 am. Attendance at the Pre-Tender Meeting and site inspection is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender.
Tenders to be lodged in the tender box at the RTA's Tender Box, Community Relations, Ground Floor, 260 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.

Pre-Qualified / Invited - Only those directly invited to tender, may obtain an RFT for the purpose of lodging a tender response.
Generally an invitation from a pre-qualified register of approved tenderers who have the ability to undertake the particular work or type of work proposed, a limited number of service providers are known to carry out the work or service (or in emergency or other restricted situations). Tenderers have usually been pre-qualified, accredited, or selected for the type of work and financial range. Competitive bids called from a standing offer (panel / period) contracts would also use this type.
