This is a Quality Assurance contract.

This is an Australian Government funded AusLink project.

Tenders are invited from contractors prequalified at roadwork Class R5 or higher. The asphalt paving works shall be carried out by a contractor pre-qualified at Class A2 or higher.

The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or prequalified for roadwork.

The primary testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA at Class L1 or L2.

The Works involve the widening of approximately 1.4km of the Hume Highway, including earthworks, pipe culvert extensions, drainage works, pavement construction including asphalt and heavily bound pavement courses, sealing, safety barrier removal and installation, boundary fencing and improvements to two intersections.

Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement .

A pre-tender meeting, including a site inspection, will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday 7 November 2006, Southern Tablelands Education Centre, 34 Chantry Street, Goulburn. Attendance at the meeting and site visit is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender.
