This is a Quality Assurance contract.

This is a State Funded Project.

Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at Roadworks Class R5. In addition, the contractor or any sub-contractor will require pre-qualification Class A2 for asphalt paving.

The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or pre-qualified for roadworks. The Primary Testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L1.

This work involves the reconstruction of the existing roadway, including earthworks, drainage, pavement, asphalt resurfacing, construction of safety barriers and other miscellaneous works.

Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.

A pre-tender meeting and site inspection will be on Wednesday 8 November 2006 starting at 10am at the Neath Hotel at the intersection of Cessnock Road and Northumberland Street, Neath followed by a site inspection.

Attendance at both the meeting and site inspection is compulsory to submit a conforming tender.

Tenders are to be lodged electronically or in the tender box at the RTA's Tender Box, Community Relations, Ground Floor, 260 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.
