This is a joint Federal/State funded AusLink Strategic Regional project. The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice, applies to this project.
Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government's Code of Practice for Procurement.
Tenders are invited from experienced Consultant Engineers for the services of a Site Management Contractor (SMC) to provide an experienced Resident Engineer and other staff to carry out duties of the Principal's Authorised Person and lead a site based organisation to administer a combined roadworks and bridgeworks contract, known as the Princes Highway Safety Improvements South Nowra to Jervis Bay Road. The Princes Highway Safety Improvements involves works to a three kilometre length of the Princes Highway between Forest Road and Jervis Bay Road south of Nowra.
The project involves safety improvements to provide a four lane carriageway with safety barrier median separation to the Princes Highway including earthworks, construction of a bridge over Currambene Creek east of the existing bridge, stormwater and subsurface drainage, asphalt and heavily bound pavement courses, and miscellaneous works.
Tenders are to be lodged in the tender box at the RTA's Tender Box, Community Relations, Ground Floor, 260 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.
A pre-tender meeting will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday 21 November 2006 at the RTA's Regional Office, Level 4 90 Crown Street, Wollongong.
Tenderers should note that this pretender meeting will be held in conjunction with the pretender meeting for the Oak Flats to Dunmore site management tender. Attendance is compulsory to submit a conforming tender.
