This is a Quality Assurance contract.
Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at Roadworks R5 and Bridgeworks B2 or hgher. The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or prequalified for roadworks. The Primary Testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L1. Pre-tensioned concrete bridge planks shall be manufactured by a contractor pre-qualified at Class CR.
Tenders must comply with the NSW Government's Code of Practice for Procurement.
Tenders are to be lodged in the tender box at the RTA's Tender Box, Community Relations, Ground Floor, 260 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.
A pre-tender meeting and a site inspection will be held 2pm, 18 December 2006 at the Pambula - Merimbula Golf Club, Arthur Kaine Drive, Merimbula. Attendance is compulsory to submit a conforming tender.

Generally an invitation from a pre-qualified register of approved tenderers who have the ability to undertake the particular work or type of work proposed, a limited number of service providers are known to carry out the work or service (or in emergency or other restricted situations). Tenderers have usually been pre-qualified, accredited, or selected for the type of work and financial range. Competitive bids called from a standing offer (panel / period) contracts would also use this type.
