The School Zone Alert System program is to deploy and maintain a state-wide, centrally managed system to alert motorists of the 40 Km/h speed limits during school days. The Alert Device Controller is a field-installed device that controls the operation of and is mounted within an electronic school zone alert sign. It also provides communications services to a central management computer that manages the operation and configuration of the signs.
Under this RFT, the RTA is seeking to select a contractor with the capability of designing and manufacturing Alert Device Controllers with various communications interfaces that comply with the Technical Specifications and Statement of Work.
Furthermore the selected contractor will provide support services for the Alert Device Controller.
The duration of the contract will be a minimum of three years.
Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
