Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / Contaminated Waste Removal and Cleaning of Sumps/Foam Rooms at Tugun Tunnel - 20.0000302072.1033

Tenders are invited for the removal of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contaminated material in the Tugun Tunnel, located on the Pacific Highway, Tweed Heads West.

The scope of works includes the following:

• High-pressure washing the PFAS contaminated walls, floor and roof of the Tugun Tunnel foam room, southern drainage sump, northern drainage sump and collecting the wash water and transporting and disposing of it to an appropriately licensed waste facility.
• Removal of approximately 100,000L of PFAS contaminated water and sludge from the Tugun Tunnel southern drainage sump, 60,000L water and sludge from the northern drainage sump and transporting and disposing of it to an appropriately licensed waste facility.
