Hazardous Waste Tracking System

Notice: The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) seeks a partner to bring the latest market innovations and customer solutions to the design, delivery and operation of a best-practice item tracking system. An Expression of Interest (EoI) will be released in 2-4 weeks, following invitations to selected parties to a Request for Tender (around late 2021/early 2022).  This is not a formal request for tender and no response is required.  Information  The first use case will be a nationally consistent tracking and data system for the movement and stockpiling of hazardous and controlled waste under the National Waste Policy Action Plan. NSW has been working with Queensland to start the national system. Requirements for the first use case will be released during the EoI.  The EPA needs someone to work with diverse stakeholders (users, industry and regulators) to design and develop a solution that is widely embraced, easy to use and low cost to operate. Successful delivery of this engagement may lead to opportunities with other jurisdictions and other use cases.  You may have a solution that meets all requirements or some of the requirements. The EPA is particularly interested in innovative and fresh approaches building on recent market experience, including core technology and user interfaces from industries such as parcel tracking or logistics services.  For any questions or if you would like to receive notification when the EoI is released, please contact:
