The purpose of this Market Sounding is to ascertain the various different suppliers capable of manufacturing welded rail strings, turnouts and special track work for Sydney Trains’ rail network, including; manufacturing capability, delivery lead times, transport requirements, associated components, installation and maintenance manuals. Sydney Trains invites submission for welded rail, turnout and/or special track work suppliers interested in meeting Sydney Trains’ requirements to enable assessment of the market conditions for this category. The information gathered from this Market Sounding will be assessed and used in the establishment of a sourcing strategy for welded rail, turnouts and special track work that Sydney Trains will procure
