Sydney Trains Real Time Condition Monitoring Alarm System (RTCMAS) is a middleware component. The RTCMAS displays real time infrastructure alarms and statistics from several train condition monitoring devices used to monitor the condition of Sydney and NSW Trains fleet across the rail network. These alarms and statistics are used by both ICON (Infrastructure Coordination and Control Centre) and the Sydney Trains Operational Technology staff responsible for maintenance of these devices.
Sydney Trains is now looking for a supplier to support and maintain this RTCMAS system.
The Real Time Condition Monitoring Alarm System (RTCMAS) originally came into operation in 2004. The RTCMAS in its original form interfaced with the Wheel Impact Load Detector (WILD) and Automatic Equipment Identifier (AEI) systems. The system was later expanded in multiple times.
The RTCMAS displays real time infrastructure alarms and statistics from several train condition monitoring devices used to monitor the condition of Sydney and NSW Trains fleet across the rail network. These alarms and statistics are used by both ICON and the Sydney Trains Operational Technology staff responsible for maintenance of these devices.
Sydney Trains is now looking for a supplier who can provide Level 2 and 3 support services for the Software Support, Telephone/Technical Support and Remote Diagnostics. And have in depth knowledge and expertise in:

The field of databases including SQL, Oracle and XML

Different formats of data including log files, SNMP traps and monitoring system health changes

Server and client workstation monitoring and information presentation via web dashboards, email notification and the Sydney Trains SMARTS network management system
The Supplier must also provide development services which shall include design, implementation, testing and deployment to Sydney Trains production servers. The supplier will be expected to have knowledge and expertise in:

Front end development languages such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Javascript and Cascade Style Sheet (CSS)

Capable of creating device-agnostic applications, real-time web applications and Application Programming Interfaces (API)
