Passenger Fleet Maintenance, a Business Group of the Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp), requires a competent, experienced and properly equipped Tenderer to undertake the scheduled overhaul and refurbishment of associated rotable parts of up to

Passenger Fleet Maintenance, a Business Group of the Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp), requires a competent, experienced and properly equipped Tenderer to undertake the scheduled overhaul and refurbishment of associated rotable parts of up to 22 Paxman VP185 Diesel Engines used in XPT Powercars for one complete overhaul cycle (currently 30,000Hours running or period of approximately 5 years from the first top overhaul till completion of the final major overhaul).

The Tenderer must be widely experienced in the Overhaul of Diesel Engines and must have a workshop equipped with tools required for working with large diesel engines including engine stands, lifting gear, all the special tools referred to in the OEM Manuals and all test gear described in the Scope of Services.

In addition, the Tenderer must

?

1.????? have access to a reliable supply of original replacement parts for the Paxman VP185 Engines; and

2.????? have sufficient factory trained staff to carry out all the works under the Contract.

Note:- The Manufacturer?s Repair and Overhaul Manual for Paxman VP185 engines could be viewed at the XPT Maintenance Centre, Sydenham by prior appointment (please Contact Officer in Part A, Clause A2).
