Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Design, Supply and Construct Metal Framed Structures for Relocation of Metro South - 2006/1020

The existing Metro-South Depot at Auburn is currently located on a site that is to be handed over to the PPP Company/s for the construction of new maintenance facilities for the new PPP rolling stock. The current Metro South Depot needs to be relocated to suitable location / locations.

There are three maintenance division of Metro-South Depot located at Auburn. The number of staff and facilities of each division are as follows:

Electrical Distribution: 19 staff, workshop, office and amenities facilities, outdoor and indoor storage and racking.

Electrical Mains: 60 staff, Trucks, Light Vehicles, Prime mover with Jinker, Workshop, office and amenities facilities, outdoor and indoor storage for equipment and poles and outdoor car parking.

Civil Maintenance: 30 staff, Trucks, office and amenities facilities and indoor storage.

The scope for above works is as per attached drawings and will include but not limited to the following works:

Design, supply, deliver and install metal frame structures and car ports at Clyde and Pippita (Lidcombe) as per attached drawings and specifications.

Provision of Site Protection Officer (from the Worksite Protection Panel) at site during construction.

The works at both sites has been re-arranged with different combinations and are represented by five (5) Separable Parts as shown in Schedules B2 and B3 in Part B of this document. RailCorp requires the price for each separable part to be a stand-alone price. RailCorp reserves the right to exclude one or more separable parts from the scope of works when awarding the contract in order to achieve target completion dates. RailCorp may at its sole discretion award multiple contracts under this RFT arrangement.
