Tender Details
Mortdale Maintenance Centre is about 27 years old and supports the Southern Region suburban fleets. Existing high level maintenance platforms of roads 1 and 2 at the Mortdale Maintenance Centre (MMC) are used to access components mounted on train roofs during routine maintenance/repair procedures. These platforms are approximately 4 metres from the floor and 5.20 metres from the maintenance pit when the cars are not parked. Platforms are accessed through stairs, from the ground level and an ANNETT key system protects the access to these platforms.
To minimize the risks of falls from these platforms, RailCorp requires an experienced Contractor to supply and install a safety Barrier system on site to comply with AS 1657-1992 - Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways and Ladders.

It is subject to the detailed requirements in Parts A-E of this Request for Tender Document (the "RFT"). Without limitation, the proposed scope of work outlined in the RFT may be subject to amendment in accordance with Addenda issued under clause A14 of the Conditions of Tendering.
